Golden Princess received an extensive makeover in 2009, and was the first ship in the fleet to showcase the whole thing via the internet. Through a series of video blog posts and photo journals on the Princess Cruises website, passengers could watch the new features, facilities and furnishings being added to the ship.Children's Facilities
Princess Cruises are always very popular with families, and with such great facilities for children of all ages, it's easy to see why. There are dedicated children's clubs offering a wide variety of activities throughout the day. The clubs are split in to several age groups, ranging from 3 - 12 years old, whilst teens aged 13 - 17 years old have their own separate area. The younger children can take part in arts and crafts, treasure hunts, talent shows and play video games, as well as having access to an outdoor play area with a paddling pool. Canaletto Dining Room - Fixed Seating Dining
This restaurant offers fixed seating dining with waiter service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It opens for breakfast between 7.30am and 9am, and 12.15pm and 1.45pm for lunch. In the evening, dinner is served across three sittings at 5.30pm, 6pm and 8.15pm and the same table is reserved for you for the duration of the cruise.Donatello and Bernini Dining Rooms - Anytime Dining
Both of these restaurants offer anytime dining with waiter service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is usually served between 7am and 9am and lunch is served between 12.15pm and 1.45pm. For dinner in the evening, you simply need to arrive anytime between 6pm and 9.30pm where you will be seated. You can choose to dine at a different table, with different people each night if you want to.Signature Dining

Sabatini's is an Italian themed restaurant featuring authentic dishes with a modern day twist. The menu is filled with a range of mouth-watering dishes including some traditional favourites like ravioli. The restaurant is open for dinner and has a cover charge of approx $20 per adult and $10 per child. It is a popular restaurant so you will need to make a reservation in advance.Crown Grill - Speciality Seafood and Steak Restaurant
The Crown Grill restaurant has a great menu with a variety of tempting steak and seafood dishes. It has an open-style kitchen so you can actually see the chef's preparing the food. The restaurant is available for dinner and has a cover charge of approx $20 per adult and $12.50 per child to dine here. The Horizon Court is a fantastic casual restaurant with no set dining times or table sizes, making it a great choice for families.
