World Cruises

World Cruise

Taking a world cruise is the penultimate climax after for some people years of cruise holidays and for others a spur of the moment decision to just get out there and experience the sheer beauty and amazement of being on a ship for a long period of time. World cruises come in various forms, you can experience a 60 night world cruise or a 102 night world cruise and still only ever unpack once. Your world cruise can also have many destination options, for example some world cruises really are just that, they span the globe and visit some of the most breath taking lands our world has on offer. Other world cruises take in the very best of one or two specific specific regions, for example North and South America along with parts of the Mediterranean, Bahamas and Caribbean. Whatever world cruise you pick you really are in for the time of your life.

Cozumel

Cozumel is in fact the world's most popular cruise destination. Popular on many Caribbean and South American itineraries Cozumel, Mexico is an island small yet big with heart and adventure. The most famous beach here is located within Chankanab National Park. The park is home to a jaw dropping selection of holiday treats including beaches, botanical gardens and an amazing pool which is linked via an underground tunnel to sea. Whilst enjoying the perfect pool waters you may well be greeted by a friendly dolphin or two who actually come and go from the park freely. Cozumel is full of Latin flavour where you can relax, sample local cuisine and hunt down those handmade arts and crafts that are sure to get your friends back home wishing they had been on your cruise holiday.

Roatan

Found just off the coast of Honduras is a beautiful island filled with lush beaches, botanical gardens, tropical jungles, mangrove canals and if that wasn't quite enough the island also sits pride of place on a glorious tropical coral reef. A popular attraction here is the Carambola Botanical Gardens. Here you can enjoy a guided and informative tour whilst you take in the amazing sights and sounds of the jungle habitat and delicately blooming flowers. The Roatan Butterfly and Birds Garden is also a popular stop amongst those who visit the Carambola Gardens. Here you will find some of the world's most delicate and magnificent butterflies.

Alexandria

As the second largest city in Egypt, Alexandria has an ancient history intertwined with modern day influences and culture. The city was once home to many well known historical figures including Cleopatra, and many of its classical landmarks still remain today including the Roman Amphitheatre and Pompey's Pillar. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina stands in stark contrast with its unusual modern day architecture and inside you will find not only a vast library but several museums, concerts halls and a planetarium to name just a few of its many attractions.

Casablanca

Casablanca can be found on the western coast of Morocco gently sitting on the Atlantic Ocean. Aside from being a rather popular film back in 1942 it is also a very nice port of call on your cruise itinerary. The most popular sight to see in this year round warm North African country is the Hassan II Mosque. The Mosque is the largest in North Africa and has indoor space for 25,000 worshippers along with courtyard space for a further 80,000, as I am sure you can imagine this Mosque is simply stunning. It is said it cost an estimated $800 million to build and was fully completed in 1993. Once you have admired this amazing building why not take some time out to people watch in the city's largest public park, Parc de la Ligue Arabe.

Bora Bora

Found in the French Polynesia region this island is truly distinctive, surrounded by its very own Lagoon and amazingly beautiful barrier reef this really is a tropical paradise. Whilst here you really need do nothing else other than enjoy the natural beauty of this island and some of the most stunning beaches. One beach certainly worth taking yourself too is Matira Beach and Lagoon. Diving is very popular here in and around the Lagoon and there is no shortage of guided diving tours if you want to get up close and personal with the local marine life. This can also include the chance to spot some of the areas sharks and with some guided groups shark feeding dives are also common.

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's capital and largest city, quite possibly most famous for its Petronas Twin Towers which are in fact the tallest twin buildings in the world. The city is fast paced and action packed yet if you scan the outskirts slightly you will find some amazing hidden gems. Some places to try and explore include the Jamek Mosque which was built in 1907 and is simply stunning to look at. Jamek Mosque is one of the oldest Mosques in Malaysia and you can find it at the confluence of the Klang and Gomback River. The Batu Caves are also a must on your Kuala Lumpur itinerary. The Cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines that is set outside of India. A truly stunning experience and you can also find the Murugan statue here.

Mumbai

There is something here for everyone, whether you are looking for locally handmade crafts or the chance to sample 5 star cuisine you will find it all here in Mumbai, the gateway to India. Mumbai centre is a hive of activity and should certainly be explored during your call. St Thomas Cathedral, Mumbai's first Anglican Church, built in 1718 is definitely a place worth exploring. The architecture is stunning and the ideal chance to take a few pictures is always lurking just around the corner. Another must see on your tour of Mumbai is Mani Bhavan, the old residence of Ghandi. Although the building is now a library it does house amazing memorabilia including Ghandi's very own spinning wheel. If you wish to have your time here filled with more educational explorations then be sure to check your cruise lines shore excursions as there are a vast array of options to choose from.
