North America Cruise
North America is a land filled with enough things to do it really can be frustrating trying to decide where to go and what to see. Whether it's a climb to the top of the Empire State Building or a stroll to the French Quarter in New Orleans you certainly will never be bored on your North American adventure. The sheer size of North America makes a cruise holiday here one of the most perfect choices when it comes to exploring the best of what's on offer, you can spend your days delving into your destination whilst effortlessly cruising to the next as you sleep.
New York
Without a doubt New York City is one of the most anticipated ports of call on any USA cruise voyage. The Big Apple as its dubbed is a captivating city that can quite literally blow your mind. Whilst here the most obvious sights to see include the Empire State building, Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero. Although each is separate the city's subway system and never ending stream of yellow cabs can whisk you off effortlessly from one to the next. Don't forget to hit the shops whilst you are here, stores like Macy's can offer designer clothes, perfumes and other goodies at a fraction of the price you would pay in the UK. Coney Island is also a lovely place to visit and sits in southern Brooklyn. Here you will find an amazing amusement park along with all the typical seaside features you may well see back home, not necessarily the fish and chips though. Whatever you decide to do in New York you are guaranteed to have the time of your life.Boston
The capital of Massachusetts Boston is a thriving city and is where you can find one of America's most famous universities, the 400 year old Harvard University. If you would like to see the university it is easily accessible via the city's subway system. Boston is quite a historic city and is also noted for its part during the American War of Independence. The streets surrounding Quincy Market are lined with restaurants, shops and some rather amusing street entertainers. You really can spend hours here just watching the world go by and taking in the atmosphere around you. For the sport enthusiast in you why not take a trip to the Gillette Stadium home to the world famous Boston Red Sox and if that's not enough then head down to TD Garden home to the Boston Celtics Basketball team.New Orleans
Also known as the Big Easy New Orleans is like no other state in the USA. As soon as you step off your ship you are in for some visual, audio and sensual treats that can only be found in the Deep South. Head off towards New Orleans French quarter that during Mardi Gras quite literally comes alive and you will find numerous jazz cafe's, hotels and restaurants that are simply stunning. New Orleans is a small city by U.S. standards but it is worth using the historic streetcar as a means of transportation as not all sights are within walking distance of one another. New Orleans also offers something rather unique when it comes to sightseeing, how about a trip into deep Louisiana natural swamp land or a day on the Mississippi river whilst kicking back to some jazz music of years gone by. If you would prefer to stay firmly on land then take a journey through the French Quarter and explore the surrounding areas like Esplanade Avenue and the Louis III Cemetery.Los Angeles
The City of Angels awaits your upcoming arrival and there is more than enough to do here in the land of the rich and famous. Take a tour of Beverly Hills and maybe spot a celebrity or two. Explore the most famous theatre in the world, Mann's Chinese Theatre where numerous star studded events have been held. Malibu, Hollywood, Disneyland and Rodeo Drive are all at your fingertips. Rodeo drive is possibly every ladies shopping heaven on earth, filled with designer boutiques you can truly get lost in what's on offer. The Hollywood walk of fame is also something you cannot come to Los Angeles and not do. The walk of fame can be found on along fifteen blocks on Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks along Vine Street. Enjoy an easy pace as you gaze at the 2,400 brass and terrazzo stars that adorn the sidewalk. If you want to really push the boat out then we suggest a lunch sitting at the famous Ivy restaurant on Robertson Boulevard, the Ivy is also a celebrity hot spot and photographers from some of the world's largest magazines and newspapers are never far away.San Francisco
A visit to San Francisco is one not to be missed. The city is vibrant, exciting and has been the backdrop for many a Hollywood movie or two, but it's the city's rich and deep history that really stands out. Whilst here why not pay a visit to one of the most famous prisons in the world, Alcatraz. This is definitely a tour that should be considered as the boat ride across to the island is also a perfect photo opportunity. If you would prefer to stay on the main land then there is no shortage of things to see and do and we suggest you start right in the centre, Union Square. Here you will find restaurants, shops and much more, Chinatown is also a sight worth seeing. The world famous Fisherman's Wharf restaurant is the perfect choice for a laid back and delicious San Francisco lunch, here you can enjoy the sight of some rather large seals happily relaxing on and around the Wharf's wooden decks. As if we needed to say it but don't forget to also take a journey on the city's unmistakable tram system, definitely something to hop on and hop off during your day and did you know the system is over 130 years old.* Prices per person based on 2 people sharing.
